Her artful blending of colours is unparalleled and her precise application combine to create the most flawless, beautiful hairstyles. Deidre has worked extensively in the film industry where she built a name for herself doing extensions for well-known actors and celebrities. Now she makes her home at Citrus where she enjoys the calm, relaxing environment. Starting her career at the age of 15 in Ireland, Kim comes from a family of hair fanatics. She has excelled in her profession in the 20+ years she has been honing her craft. Kim is a whiz at creating soft, sexy hair and her updo’s and evening styles are unrivaled! She has also embraced Organic Color Systems as her go-to line of permanent colour, for all those who are looking for more natural alternatives. This spunky gal will make sure she understands exactly what you want before she picks up her scissors or colour brush, so that you’re both on the same page. Gypsy is a perfectionist with a passion for precision, honed through her advanced Vidal Sassoon training. Since beginning her career in 1999, she has built a reputation for creating effortless, wearable hair and now shares her expertise as a haircutting educator at Citrus Hair Salon. She brings both discipline and creativity to her work and enjoys creating everything from refined, classic shapes to more expressive, modern looks. She specializes in cutting short and long hair for women and men, always with a focus on making hair fall naturally and style easily at home. Gypsy also does color services and especially enjoys soft balayage and grey coverage / camouflage.
As someone who is neurodivergent herself, Gypsy brings a heightened awareness of different ways people experience the world. She values clear communication, a calm environment, and making sure each client feels comfortable and understood without pressure or overwhelm. She is also deeply passionate about hair health and treatments, and enjoys guiding clients in maintaining strong, healthy hair, preserving colour, and improving their everyday styling results. Her scalp massages have become something of a quiet signature, often leaving clients more relaxed than they intended to be, in the best possible way. Outside the salon, she enjoys time with her husband, parrots, and dog, and is involved in humanitarian efforts.

This fun-loving, feisty lady comes armed with a Red Seal Certification, which is the interprovincial standard of excellence in the skilled trades. She has a couple of decades of experience under her belt and can turn out amazing feats of colouring and cutting with her eyes closed (but she won't). Her loves include funky colours and dramatic makeovers, and her magic brush also paints up beautiful balayage masterpieces. Nicole has extensive training with all types of cuts...short, long, curly and everything in between. If you like puns, good dad jokes and laughs, you'll have a great time in her chair while she works her magic!

Trained at Barbering Academy in Vancouver, Sassoon Academy in Toronto, and Suki’s Advanced Colour Academy, Rupy blends technical skill with a flair for creativity. She’s equally adept at precision cuts, from long layers and shaggy styles to short haircuts. Rupy’s barbering skills shine through in her love for fades and tapers, often practiced on her teenage son, who inspires her with each visit. Rupy’s approach is rooted in real talk and a commitment to continuous learning, ensuring every client leaves feeling confident and happy with their hair.

Kat came to us in 2021 after moving around Canada for a few years. Starting out in Toronto, this soft-spoken lovely lady soon ventured to Vancouver where she started her hair career. An eagerness to learn and to understand her clients' needs keeps her in touch with hair and fashion trends. She loves everything to do with cutting and colouring, with an affinity for rich, dimensional brunettes and soft, natural blondes and balayage. Kat sees all her clients as future friends, and always takes the time to listen and get to know them. A soft touch, great conversation, and a friend who listens is what you can expect when you are lucky enough to land in Kat's chair for your hair experience. On her off days, she hikes, spends time with friends and family, including her cats, and playing ukelele.

Born and raised in France, Maureen recently made the move to Vancouver, bringing a little French flair (and a lot of colour) to the Canadian scene. She specializes in colour, especially bold, funky colour transformations, and her goal is pretty simple: you leave the salon looking great and feeling even better. She treats every client like the queens, kings, and everyone in between that they are. Maureen trained at a top tier salon in France known for hair transformations and colour corrections, where she built a solid foundation of skill, creativity, and technical know-how. If you mixed creativity, patience, a big smile, a slightly geeky personality, and a French accent in a bowl, you would get Maureen. When she is not behind the chair, you will probably find her reading, watching a movie, browsing the new Hot Topic merch or gaming on her computer, usually with a Tim Hortons drink close by.

Her journey began at the prestigious Blanche Macdonald Centre, where she honed her craft in global makeup artistry back in 2013. Sammie spent five years as a sought-after freelance makeup artist, perfecting bridal beauty, working with models on local photo shoots, and recently lending her talents to salon campaigns. Her passion for creating glamorously stunning looks is written in every stroke of her brush.
When she’s not working her magic at Citrus, Sammie enjoys life’s simple pleasures—catching up with friends and unwinding with a frosty Bellini in hand. Whether she’s on set or in the salon, Sammie’s mission is to make every client look and feel their absolute best.

Gauri joined the Citrus team in 2024 and quickly became part of the family! Her gentle, relaxed nature, playful humor, and engaging personality make every guest feel welcome and at ease from the moment they walk in. As a Junior Level 2 stylist, Gauri is rapidly moving up the ranks, working closely with our Master stylists and seizing every opportunity to expand her skills. She approaches each service with curiosity and enthusiasm, constantly experimenting with new techniques and trends while maintaining the quality and precision that Citrus guests expect.
Though still early in her career, Gauri already has talents far beyond her years. Her specialties include playful colours and imaginative patterns, bringing her creativity to life in bold, unique looks. She’s equally adept at flawless blonde balayage, as well as rich, vibrant reds and deep brunettes, making her versatile for any style or mood.

Yuka kicked off her career managing an apparel shop in Tokyo, where she learned the fine art of keeping things together while chaos unfolds. After a move to Canada she managed a restaurant for 4 years, becoming a master of customer service and fine-tuning her people skills. In 2022, she decided to switch gears and dive into hair styling…because, why not? Since then, Yuka has soaked up knowledge from our master stylists and quickly proven that her talent goes far beyond her junior status. She’s artistic, detail-oriented, and passionate about every cut, colour, and style she touches. She loves creating looks that make clients feel confident, cared for, and fabulous! She listens, connects, and makes each appointment feel easy, relaxed, and fun. Whether she’s perfecting a subtle balayage, blending grey, or crafting a bold new cut, she brings precision, creativity, and heart to her work. When she’s not at work, Yuka is hanging with her dog and cat, crushing video games, and probably eating something delicious with zero regrets.

She has worked in the film industry with celebrities, backstage at the Leo awards, styling at fashion and bridal shows, including Vancouver fashion week. Have a wedding coming up? Molly is an energetic fireball that takes control at the front desk and makes sure that everyone feels taken care of when they walk in the door. You will find her happily greeting clients, answering phones and generally zipping around the salon like Wile E. Coyote pursuing Roadrunner. This feisty gal loves to take on new challenges and is always willing and eager to complete any task thrown her way. Working with the front desk team, she is one of the links in the chain that holds Citrus Salon together and keeps it running as smoothly as possible. With a deep fascination for people and human behavior, it was only natural that she gravitated toward customer service—especially in an industry she’s always loved: beauty!
She thrives in the energy of a woman-owned and operated salon, and is all about making the salon experience top-tier. Outside the salon, Luna’s world is a mix of creativity and cozy hobbies. She loves crocheting, gaming, binge-watching TV shows and anime, and perfecting her nail art.

Antonella spent many years as a stylist before stepping away from the chair to focus on building her own vision. In 2010, Citrus Hair Salon was born with just six stylists and has since grown to a thriving team of 26 and counting. Drawing on her experiences in a variety of salons, Antonella knew she wanted to do things differently. Her goal has always been to create a space where diverse personalities can coexist in harmony, supporting one another and working together as a team. With a strong no-gossip, no-drama philosophy, stylists are free to focus on their craft and provide clients with the best possible experience. Sustainability is another cornerstone of her approach, from choosing eco-friendly, cruelty-free products to implementing an extensive recycling program that goes far beyond the city’s basic requirements. Ultimately, Antonella’s vision is simple: a healthy, happy salon from the inside out, where clients and team members alike feel cared for and inspired.

Aaron joined the Citrus team in 2023 and has been steering the ship ever since—fortunately, with fewer icebergs and more smooth sailing. Armed with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from BCIT, he brings a strategic mindset, a passion for organization, and an impressive ability to keep everything running (mostly) according to plan.
As our operations director, Aaron juggles coordinating the team, refining processes, handling finances, and ensuring Citrus runs like a well-oiled machine. With him at the helm, the business has been able to pivot when needed, always with a clear direction and a steady hand. His knack for problem-solving, keeping chaos in check, and ensuring no detail goes unnoticed makes him an invaluable part of the team. Whether he’s streamlining operations or planning the next big move, Aaron keeps Citrus on course—with just the right amount of coffee and sarcasm to get the job done.

Lily is a sweet, gentle furball who takes a low-key approach to her role as Director of Guest Services. While she may not always rush to the front to greet you (she prefers to play it cool), she’s quietly overseeing salon operations from her favorite cozy spot. Think of her as the strong, silent type—until you offer belly rubs. Then, suddenly, you’re her new best friend. When it comes to her fellow four-legged visitors, she’s all about rolling out the red carpet (or at least a friendly sniff). Her daily tasks include strategic napping, saying hello to, and accepting gentle admiration from those lucky enough to earn her trust. If you spot her lounging nearby, feel free to say hello—but don’t take it personally if she pretends she’s busy. She just likes to play hard-to-get at first.
